“I began working with Kostas about six months before my wedding. Never working with a trainer before, I wasn’t certain what to expect. My initial goals were not focused on losing an immense amount of weight, but rather to lose a few inches of fat and overall tone my body. Upon meeting with Kostas the first time, I knew that I was in good hands. He took the time to get to know me, my fitness goals, and my lifestyle.

Kostas worked hard to put together an exercise regiment for me to do on the days I was not in session with him and also a meal plan that was revised almost weekly. Kostas even went out of his way to make suggestions to my husband about his workout routine and meal plan even though he was not his client. He was great about communicating outside of the gym through email and text message so I always knew I could go to him if I had a question.

The time that I spent in the gym with Kostas was the most fun I have had working out. He challenged me… all the while providing a good balance of toughness, encouragement, and even joking, resulting I'm my actually having FUN throughout the process.

Knowing that Kostas lives the healthy lifestyle that he preaches was additionally encouraging, and six months later I had exceeded my fitness expectations.

“I came to Catalyst at age 74 with coronary artery disease as well as other high-risk ailments. Almost 12 years ago I had a triple artery bypass.

I began training with Janet at Catalyst at that time, and today I have progressed so that my blood pressure regularly tests at 110/70; my total cholesterol is 146 and my HDL is below 100.

Janet is very patient and yet she is firm and insures that I complete all repetitions and sets of exercises. She is aware of my age and tailors all exercises to a person 76 years old. Yet she is flexible enough to adjust my routine— taking into account that a 76 year old may have days where all joints and muscles do not operate as they were intended.

Janet takes a personal interest in not just my exercise routines, but my total health, advising on how to adhere to a healthy diet. She is a joy to work with and I recommend her as a personal trainer for anyone wishing to improve their health and lifestyle.”

“I have worked with Caitlyn (Cate) for two consecutive months. Prior to starting my sessions with her, I had no idea what to expect because I never had a personal trainer before. My primary goal for training with her was to put on some lean muscle.

Throughout our sessions, Cate took the time to get to know my lifestyle habits and fitness goals. She also clearly explained the exercise routines that she created for me and how to use my body correctly to perform each one of them. Learning from Cate was not only a fulfilling experience, but it was also an educational experience.

During the days that I was not training with Cate, I was working out on my own using the exercise routines that she prescribed for me. Because of her thorough guidance throughout our sessions, I was more confident in my abilities to perform these exercises on my own. During my sessions with her, she pushed me to perform the exercises correctly while ensuring that I was getting the most out of my workouts.

By the time I finished training with her, I put on eight pounds of lean muscle. Even though I realized that most of this success was attributed to my hard work and dedication to weight training, Cate had a lot to do with my success as well.
