Catalyst Viking Run 2017: All the Excitement of 2016—Plus More!

The 2nd annual Catalyst Viking Run is scheduled to commence on September 23, 2017. Designed to test bravery, strength, endurance and “warrior performance skills,” this grueling 5 kilometer trek will once again lead participants through the rugged, obstacle-laden slopes of Woodbury Ski.

This year, the race promises to be even bigger and more challenging. And while much of  the course will remain the same, there will be some course changes — along with a few new “surprise obstacles” awaiting those who dare to compete.

When it comes to developing an attractive physique, few will debate that a muscular, well toned body is more appealing.  We are all  “genetically wired” to feel more attracted to individuals that exude physical characteristics we associate with being capable, strong, and healthy.  And in the minds of most, noticeable, well defined biceps are synonymous with a high level of refined fitness.

How to Keep Your “Fitness” Resolutions

According to the Statistic Brain Research Institute, the seven most popular New Year Resolutions for 2017 were:

#1 Lose weight / eat & be healthier
#2 Life / self improvements
#3 Better financial decisions
#4 Quit smoking
#5 Do more exciting things
#6 Spend more time with family & close friends
#7 Work out more often

The study ALSO revealed that over 50% of all resolutions fail within 6 months. A startling fact attributed to:

• Lack of SUPPORT
• Lack of ACCOUNTABILITY
• Unrealistic or unobtainable GOALS
• Failure to see considerable, lasting CHANGE.

This statistic — and the “top 7 resolutions” list above, confirmed for me why those who join Catalyst STAY with Catalyst: they realize and maintain RESULTS.

Celebrating 2 Important Milestones

The last quarter of 2015 marks two positive milestones for Catalyst Health & Fitness. We’re celebrating our 5-year anniversary—and also celebrating the grand reopening of out newly acquired, renovated and greatly improved Catalyst Middlebury Club!

In looking back at our efforts and progress, it’s rewarding to realize that our growth and success can be attributed NOT to “building yet another work out gym,” but rather, to a planned focus on creating something EXCEPTIONAL. A fitness-minded community of successful, respected members that lead by example through healthier achievements and more rewarding lifestyles. At Catalyst, our members tell us time and again that membership is about more than “just working out…it’s about being part of and sharing in something great!” It is those very accolades from members that inspired this detailed look at what makes Catalyst an exceptional health club experience.
