The “Heart” of our Health Club

The first post in this Anatomy of an Exceptional Health Club series defined the Catalyst facilities as the body of our clubs—the supporting framework for all we offer. And while the modern, clean environments that “embody” our clubs are important, it is the Catalyst Team that are at the the “heart” of what makes Catalyst such an exceptional fitness experience.

As we continue celebrating our 5-year anniversary (and grand reopening of Catalyst Middlebury), I think it only appropriate to recognize the important contributions of our skilled and dedicated Personal Trainers, Class Instructors, and Member Support Staff.

Accomplished, trained professionals focused on helping every member succeed!

When I founded Catalyst 5 years ago, I was focused on bringing together the “very best” member support team available. I knew doing so would present the biggest challenge, but would also become the club’s biggest asset. Our carefully selected staff has allowed Catalyst to consistently offer unmatched, result-generating guidance for weight loss, strength building, endurance training, rehabilitation, speed and agility training, specialized sports training, and more.

As a side benefit, bringing together an accomplished group of performance and conditioning leaders created an atmosphere that has been described by members as “trusted, uplifting, credible, exciting, and “really special.” Certainly, our trainers and staff talk-the-talk when it comes to offering accurate assessments and training. But our team members also walk-the-walk, regularly competing and excelling in a variety of fitness challenges that include body building, fitness and physique competitions, marathons, biathlons, triathlons, Strong-Man/Strong-Woman competitions, extreme sports, and more.

Maybe most important, each Catalyst staff member displays a sincere desire to help members succeed. They’re genuinely dedicated to improving the health and fitness of the community we serve—a dedication that is the heartbeat that powers Catalyst!
